Transmission Service

A typical transmission fluid change replaces only around 40% of the old contaminated fluid. The remaining fluid is trapped inside valve bodies, the torque converter and transmission cooler lines. New fluid can often loosen damaging sludge and varnish deposits, but not remove them, which can lead to shift problems and even transmission failure.

Our WynnsTransmission Service removes 95% of the old contaminated fluid utilizing a specially formulated transmission cleaning chemistry that safely removes harmful sludge and varnish deposits.

Brake Service and Inspection

Brake pads and brake rotors get worn down over time and need to be replaced. If just the pads need to be replaced we will machine the rotors to smooth them out again so that the brake pads sit flat on the rotor to achieve the maximum amount of friction. We use competitively priced, quality parts to ensure very good performance and longevity.

Gear Box Clutch

Problems with your clutch or gearbox should be addressed as early as possible to avoid a complete breakdown of these components. The pedal may feel soft under your foot or it hits the floor with little or no resistance, you may also have problems getting it into gear or you may hear whining or clunking noises or feel vibrations. Bring your vehicle in to get looked over and we can advise you what repairs it will need.

STEERING AND SUSPENSION

If your car nose dives when you brake or feels like its rolling round corners you may have a suspension issue. Shocks go up and down thousands of times during driving and will eventually wear out; they can also leak and will require replacing. Squeaking, stiffness in the steering and pulling are all signs of wear. Suspension and steering issues can make your car unsafe on the road so it’s important to get these sorted as soon as possible.

Cooling Systems

A vehicles basic cooling system consists of liquid coolant being circulated through the engine then to the radiator to be cooled by the air stream coming through the front grill of the vehicle. The cooling systems job is to maintain the engine at a constant temperature no matter what the outside air temperature is. If the engine temperature gets too low it effects fuel economy and emissions and if it gets too hot for too long the engine will self-destruct. Getting your cooling system checked/serviced on a regular basis will ensure that it is working to its optimum standard.

Cambelts

The cambelt, also known as the timing belt, is a crucial component of your engine. It is basically a rubber belt with teeth in it that turns the camshaft and crankshaft in synchronisation. When the cambelt wears out and cracks, tears or snaps it can cause a lot of damage to the engine. To avoid this costly scenario it is best to have the cambelt replaced. There is a general guideline that the cambelt get replaced every 100,000kms or 7 years whichever occurs first, or manufacturers recommendation. It is hard to tell if your cambelt needs replacing as it’s not easily accessible so preventive replacement is the best way to avoid a potential major engine repair or replacement.
